Starting at age 3, the i9 Sports curriculum for our youngest age group is designed to grow with your child teaching skills and game play. For our Pee Wees, we focus on introducing your child to the sport while providing instruction through activities and drills that keep kids learning and having fun. For our junior age group, we offer programming designed to keep kids learning the fundamentals of the sport and understanding the dynamics of working as a team all while having fun. In i9 Sports youth soccer leagues, young players are introduced to the sport of soccer while more experienced players learn to improve their skills. Through age-appropriate, fun practice plans, kids learn the fundamentals of soccer including dribbling, passing, shooting, and for players who prefer to use their hands, goalkeeping. As an athlete progresses through our one-day-a-week youth soccer program, they develop basic technique and ball handling to more complex offensive and defensive plays. As a national leader in raising safety awareness in youth sports, i9 Sports youth soccer programs stand out from other soccer leagues. We have a strict no heading policy in our youth soccer leagues to help protect the safety of young athletes. This change in format allows kids to focus on other aspects of the game that are fundamentally more important to learn at this stage of development. Small team sizes allow your child to get maximum touches on the ball. The game is designed to keep kids moving, engaged and learning new skills. With modified court sizes and rules, our youth volleyball format is the perfect way to teach boys and girls ages the fundamentals of volleyball while developing their hand-eye coordination, agility, and overall athletic skills. For volleyball, some of our i9 Sports locations choose to run coed leagues, where others divide teams by gender — contact your local i9 Sports to find out which your location does.
