Our state-of-the-art library provides a computer lab, meeting and group study rooms, and other quiet, comfortable learning spaces in order to provide UNC students, faculty, staff and other library users with the space they need to succeed in their academic endeavors.

Study rooms are located on the 3rd floor of the library. Reservations can be placed online or by calling the front desk. Reservations are accepted up to three days in advance. The 1st floor, or entrance level, of the HSL features 11 computers which require an Onyen to logon, 5 computers on the curved table in front of the elevator that require a guest login see main desk , 2 computers with scanners, and 1 computer equipped to view microfilm and microfiche. The HSL Collaboration Center is a versatile, enclosed meeting room on the second floor of the HSL that is available for research teams and faculty to meet, use large screen display, present to in-room and online groups and conduct group video or web conferencing sessions in support of their research projects.
