We visited Strahan to retrace my ancestors past. Franklin Manor was the ideal venue with its Victorian charm, excellent hosts, charming sitting rooms with log fires, books and magazines for browsing. Grand dining room with a very good continental breakfast We were given an upgrade to a King Room which had a lovely bay window and settee and plenty of tea, coffee, homemade biscuits provided. Helpful hosts provided location info and where to eat. We took their advice and are at Risby Cove Lovely gardens with wild white and red spotted mushrooms.
