The Crimson Bee and Cobalt Bee together are excellent, especially so since two-thirds of your hive is colored and will benefit greatly from double pulses. C3yellowcat is incorrect in stating that you will get the slot faster by saving up for the backpack. The backpack does absolutely nothing for helping you get pollen or honey faster. In fact, if you got the slot and the Cobalt Bee, that would be a significant booster in reaching the backpack later.
