I rode a 84 XL It was big, heavy, a bitch to start and went faster than I trusted the wheel bearings So, does this mean that you dont want the LC4? I rode an XL, dont remember the year though, it did have the 23" front wheel. I didnt like the looks, but it had some power to it. One thing is that there is no oil filter, so change it really often. The decomp is all external. One cable comes from the kickstarter and the other from the lever on the bars.

It has all the power that a technically sophisticated cc four-stroke Single deliver - plenty. It's as smooth as many Twins, all the normal big Single vibrations having been cancelled out with the twin counterrotating balancer shafts.
