Home assistant disable integration

Speaking about disabling integrations. If I remember correctly I found no documentation for this.

As part of a wider effort to reduce standby power usage, I have a number of devices with configured integrations which are only powered up when needed. Normally this is achieved through HA controlled smart switches. Depending on reconnection polling, these devices might be unreliably available when I want to use them with HA. If there was such a service call then I could use automations to enable them when they power up, and disable them again when they power down. I believe this would be a more valid request: detailed control of log messages. Switching off integrations to prevent a resulting action is imo not the right way froward. Absolutely, if squashing error messages is the objective then an alternative feature request of changing the Logger component level perhaps for individual components would be more appropriate.

In my opinion it would be useful to be able to temporary disable integrations. For example: turn off telegram notifications during the night. According to my information the current solution would be add it to the condition part of an automation. I would like this feature. When an integration does not work anymore but a fix is ongoing, we could disable the integration temporarily no spam in log!! I recently changed routers and had a hard time finding the IP of my lighting controller. Lots of errors instead of me just disabling my lighting integration until I sorted it out. It would be nice to disable the integration instead of deleting it. Same here. I have a kodi integration, but the device is only on if the tv is on. One of them is also outside tree with christmas lights - as they will not be used for some time now I switched off the controller and power supply. So I definitely vote to add a disable option on Integration and also on Device level.

You can even automate it based on a ping sensor or something of your choice. How do I go about that?

You either use default config, or you manage the integrations that default config provides. But, having all of my oauth callback URLs overridden is a huge hassle and while I get that it makes it easier for some users, it should be possible to opt out. I see many change Requests to have an exclude option but could not find anything in the documentation that this was solved. I dont need it, it is broken or at least not able to cope with my network infrastructure and might be the cause for my CPU Load issues. Is there an up to date list what I need to put there? The release notes will make note of this. You can also create a scrape sensor that searches the bullets.

Let me explain my use-case, since i think my use-case is generalizable. Devices like my tv, my av receiver, and my logitech harmony hub. Total power consumption is impacted a lot by doing this: a reduction of watts. You either accept warnings in the logs, or you choose not to implement energy savings in my case, i choose to accept those warnings. And i think it should be valuable to many others.

Geoffers Geoff February 25, , pm This would alleviate the problem. By integrating this feature into Home Assistant, it would encourage more people to implement energy savings. Seems like this can only be done in the UI. How do I re-enable a disabled integration? If there were obstacles or reasons to not implement this in the past, it would be great if those reasons would be shared. Did you happen to find any programatic solution? I see that now, however bram is correct stating that it should be against shelly in core. Is there still no solution for this, I have the same issue. Code owner commands Code owners of conversation can trigger bot actions by commenting: home-assistant close Closes the issue. The reason is that while the integration is running I am unable to access the associated hardware to configure it. Please make sure to update to the latest Home Assistant version and check if that solves the issue. It would be nice to disable the integration instead of deleting it.

So, the integration must be added first to be disabled, right? Labels integration: conversation stale. Using My Home Assistant we can guarantee this. Is there still no solution for this, I have the same issue. This simplifies setup and documentation.
