More than 40 festive stalls, live entertainment and a visit by Santa promise to make it a memorable day. A festive fairground will be on the car park behind Tesco with a choice of games and thrill to keep children, teenagers and the young at heart entertained. The Square, will be closed to traffic from the roundabouts down to and including Parkway to accommodate more than 40 festive stalls. A further 10 stalls will be located inside the scout hall. Local vendors are returning alongside new faces and products.

Sunday 3rd December pm. London Road The Square , from the roundabouts down to and including Parkway, will be closed to traffic and brought to life with almost 40 festive stalls. Together with a further ten stalls located inside the Scout Hall, visitors can enjoy the return of popular vendors, alongside new faces and products. It is the perfect place to find Christmas gifts, while also supporting local businesses and organisations. The village will be reminded that the Christmas Market is about to open with a peel of bells from St Luke's Church at 2. Entertainment on the stage will start at 4pm with music from the Lions Youth Brass Band. We have on-stage performances from both Middlewich Road and Hermitage Primary Schools choirs, plus musical talent from Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school. A fairground area has been created on the car park behind Tesco with a choice of seven rides, hook-a-duck, plus a candy floss stall. Santa Claus will also be out on his sleigh to meet the children outside the entrance to Tesco. Having had to take the annual Christmas Market online in due to Covid restrictions the Holmes Chapel Partnership were excited to bring the event back the the village in December However, the previous location of the Co-op car park was now too small to enable any kind of social distancing during the event. The decision was made to expand the location by putting 40 stalls along London Road which was partially closed for the event and a fairground in the car park behind the Co-op.
