Oh how I love Skyrim. Today I decided to make the Helm of Ygnol from the game. In Skyrim you can acquire this item by delving into a draugr crypt and stealing it from a skeleton. However in my mundane existence I have never found such a crypt and I am too much of a milk sop to adventure anyways, so I decided today to make the legendary helm out of foam. I made a helmet very similar to this last year so I already had a pattern. Because I made this helmet last year, I already had a pattern. I did change the shape of the eye holes this time around though, and made them more rounded.

Bethesda has always created memorable loot for its RPGs, and that's no different with Skyrim which has what's known as the Helm of Yngol which a fan has commemorated through an impressive replica. Since Skyrim was released back in , many fans have expressed their appreciation for the Bethesda RPG creatively in numerous ways, with this helmet being among the most impressive. Because of how iconic Bethesda's weapon and armor design has been over the years and the longevity of Skyrim , there are a number of items in the RPG that players would like to have in their own collections. Much of the early Skyrim moments feature underwhelming gear, but as a player explores the landscape and delves into dungeons, they'll find progressively more useful and aesthetically unique gear. Celebrating the Helm of Yngol which can be looted in the throne room of Yngol Barrow upon defeating Yngol's shade which is protecting it, one Skyrim fan has made an incredible replica that would definitely fit into the world crafted by Bethesda. Reddit user PKJ recently shared several images of their physical version of Skyrim 's Helm of Yngol, highlighting it from nearly every angle to emphasize the attention to detail. Beyond the familiarly shaped opening for the face of Skyrim protagonist Dovahkiin , the helmet's horns are shaped and grooved to near perfection to replicate the in-game armor. The rivets in the Helm of Yngol are featured in PKJ's design, and they wrap around from the face to the back which is dirty and damaged as it would be after being recovered from one of the many Nordic tombs of Skyrim. The majority of the bottom half of the Helmet of Yngol has a Celtic pattern on it both in Skyrim and PKJ's creation, a design that flows up to the top of its rear. Because there don't seem to be any joints where the Helm of Yngol horns meet what's normally the metal portion of the Skyrim heavy armor , the mimic appears to be all one piece, with a couple of intentional gashes in various places. According to PKJ, their Helm of Yngol replica can be worn, something that will depend on someone's head size. Although PKJ hasn't elaborated on how their Helm of Yngol was made or what inspired them to make it, it appears to be at least partially 3D printed like other Skyrim fan creations.

No Yngol Helm anywhere. I did a little research and found only one glitch with both the helm of yngol and the helm of winterhold, helm of yngol. Why can't I absorb certain dragon souls?

It is necessary to proceed through Yngol Barrow , the location of the helm of Yngol. These steps were written with the help of the video walkthrough below. Talk to Birna in Birna's Oddments in Winterhold. Ask her "Do you get much business way up here? Tell her you'll look into it for her and buy the claw from her for 50 gold. You'll find a book and some ingredients outside.

This article is about the location. For the quest, see Yngol's Barrow. The layout of the barrow is fairly linear: there are twists and turns, but the main path will not split. There are no enemies until you face Yngol's Shade. Bouncing blue orbs are found throughout the barrow, and will follow you around. At no point do these orbs become hostile, and they disappear when you claim the Helm of Yngol. There are several standing stones in front of the entrance. There is a short flight of stone steps leading up from the shore and through a squared arch to a statue, with twin piles of stones on either side and a circular stone dish in front holding some kind of offering, including sprigs of snowberries , foodstuffs , and a copy of Yngol and the Sea-Ghosts. Larger statues flank the entrance, which is marked by a lit brazier on a stand.

Why can't I absorb certain dragon souls? So I would highly recommend using contact cement, I bought my quart of it for only 7 dollars. Log In Sign Up. Could try to start helm of winterhold quest with the jarl to see if it even sends you to yngol's barrow. Where can I find a wood chopping axe? However in my mundane existence I have never found such a crypt and I am too much of a milk sop to adventure anyways, so I decided today to make the legendary helm out of foam. Most dungeons in Skyrim are pretty long affairs.

Bitter is the tongue that cuts as a knife. Because of how iconic Bethesda's weapon and armor design has been over the years and the longevity of Skyrim , there are a number of items in the RPG that players would like to have in their own collections. If I'm not mistaken, the cave is glitched and never respawns. How do you open the gate on the other side of the room? There's a button but it's useless. Where can I find a wood chopping axe? Otherwise you'll miss out on one or the other. This is kinda sounding like what you are describing except you didn't start the quest for the helm of winterhold yet, so i'm at a bit of a loss I did it early on I have a way earlier save that I didn't check yet but it wouldn't make a difference cause it's a hundred and more hours behind. Afraid not. Side Quest. ShytheSepthKang 12 years ago 1 So
