The episodes of the Hellsing anime series premiered on Fuji Television hellsing October 10,and ran for thirteen episodes until its conclusion on January 16, Konakahellsing, [2] the episodes are based on the characters and settings of the Hellsing manga series by Kouta Hirano but lead through a different story. The episodes as a whole detail the works of the Hellsing Organization, a secret anti-paranormal unit hellsing the command of Sir Integra Wingates Hellsing, and its various operatives including the vampire Alucard and his fledgling partner, hellsing, ex-policewoman Seras Victoria.

Hellsing, an organization specializing in dealing with supernatural threats, is called in to eliminate a vampire that is turning the villagers of Cheddar into ghouls. To put an end to this, the leader of the organization, Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, dispatches her most formidable asset: a powerful vampire known as Alucard. Armed with only a single handgun, Alucard wreaks havoc on the monsters plaguing Cheddar. However, a young police officer, Seras Victoria, gets caught up in the chaos and becomes mortally wounded as a result. Taking pity on the girl, Alucard gives her a choice: die as a human or live on as a vampire. Seras accepts his offer and begins a new life as a member of Hellsing. Though it was her decision, Seras struggles with the fact that she is no longer human.

It ran for 10 volumes, and had spawned multiple adaptations including that of an anime , and eventually after the anime became a hit in the west; the producers of the anime decided to halt any further adaptations before planning on an OVA series which promises to stick to the manga. It originally started as a one-shot hentai by Kouta Hirano, and was included in 's magazine of Kairakuten. After signing a deal with Young King OURs, Hirano began experimenting; redoing Hellsing from the start yet again, but features many similarities of its original prototype , and after Volume 1 of the manga was finished; Hirano tested to see whether it was worth continuing or not. But after its success, Hirano decided to continue and talks about a Hellsing anime began. Eventually, it was greenlit and was produced by studio Gonzo , and ran for 13 episodes with the first episode airing on October 10th, , and concluded on January 16, An OVA series started in , and 10 OVAs were released in the span of 6 years; from February 10, , to December 26, , many of which were made by multiple studios. A prequel manga, titled The Dawn , was started in ; and was abruptly left alone by Hirano, so that he could put his focus on Hellsing until it finished. However, instead of continuing The Dawn after Hellsing had finished, Hirano had announced that he would instead work on another series. In , news outlet Deadline reported that Hellsing will be adapted into a Live-Action movie, written by Derek Kolstad, teaming up with Amazon Studios to work on the movie.
