Im curious what everyone considers to be some must have mods that use hearthfire. So far the only one I've found is the lakeview walls which adds some guards, gates and walls around the perimeter. This mod was in the LE Guide. Needs to be considered and tested for the SE Guide. Would likely need custom patching. Might be an issue with the basements. I've tossed this into the new game I started yesterday for testing.

This expansion lets players purchase land in Skyrim and build their own house. Within the custom living space, players are able to build kitchens, greenhouses, libraries, alchemy labs, and trophy rooms to show off their accomplishments. It also allows players to adopt children and keep them as their own. To initiate the Hearthfire content, simply travel to the cities of Dawnstar , Falkreath or Morthal and speak to the steward there. Ask about purchasing a house and they will prompt you with the gold fee, handing over a deed to your plot of land. Note that certain quests must be completed before the Jarl will like you enough to sell you the land. Hjallmarch: Laid to Rest. Follow your map marker to your new plot of land where a set of working fixtures and a book with the basics is waiting for you. Inside the chest are some materials, as well as a pile of logs behind you, enough to get you started on your house, creating a small shack with the raw materials.

If you start a new game or switch character you need to deactivate the mod and optional files until the Lakeview Manor is build!! Requires Skyrim Special Edition. Basically you need to construct the entire manor through the bench in the exterior, then all the benches in the interiors and then the upgrades from the steward. All of this begins if you start doing quests for the Jarl of Falkreath. Failing to heed my advice and activating my mod before you have that lakeview manor finished can result in the following bugs, such as not being able to buy lumber, not being able to hire a steward, not being able to advance through the "build lakeview" quests, certain original upgrades never becoming visible and the lakeview map marker not showing up.
