But over the past few weeks, the year-old grandmother has been on the news, in the papers, has been interviewed by TV companies from Canada to Australia and hundreds of thousands of people from all around the world have logged on for her advice.

Although a short hairstyle for a woman in her older years isn't remotely unappealing, I do feel it's important to go against established beauty "rules" and prove that long, thin hair can be just as lovely as a cute bob.
