Of the many powerful upgrades in Hades , Companions are possibly some of the hardest to get. They tend to require multiples of high-level resources, and send players on somewhat confusing side stories. Completing Dusa's favor , for example, can cost over half a dozen diamonds and hundreds of gemstones. But Hades has some easier side-quests, and one of those is getting Skelly's Companion, Rib. Hades' Companion items offer useful in-run use effects. Players can earn them by achieving high levels of trust with various characters. Once Zagreus has built his relationship with, say, Skelly, players have the opportunity to complete a favor for that character. After completing a favor, gifting the character one ambrosia will result in them giving their Companion item to Zagreus. In Skelly's case, he gifts Companion Rib. Hades ' favors often involve a lot of running around and talking with various characters in sometimes confusing orders. Fortunately, Skelly's is a bit more straightforward. There are a few involved steps to perform in order to complete Skelly's favor, though. Players should stock up on resources - nectar and Titan's Blood, Hades ' weapon upgrading material.

But Hades has some easier side-quests, and one of those is getting Skelly's Companion, Rib. Probably my personal favorite, hades companion. So the companion is best used when there are at least two enemies in the chamber.

You don't have to be alone fighting your way out of the underworld. Hades actually has companions, which are items that can summon a friend into battle for a short span of time. Such friends can be useful for boss battles, and the companions can be leveled up with Ambrosia to increase the number of summoners per underworld escape attempt. To fully upgrade a companion costs 10 Ambrosia in total to increase its maximum summons to five. Companions in Hades are equippable in the courtyard and unlike Keepsakes, they cannot be changed mid-run. They also can only be used once per chamber. There are six companions in all. None of them can be used against Hades himself unless he gives permission. Antos is obtained by reaching a high friendship with Achilles. To get there, six nectar are needed to get to his favor quest.

Companions also known as Legendary Keepsakes are items that can be equipped to obtain a unique summon ability per run. After giving 5 to 6 Nectars to the appropriate person, their Affinity Gauge in the Codex will show a heart with a keyhole, indicating that you need to earn their favor by deepening your relationship with them or assisting them in some way to progress further. After earning their favor, companions can be acquired by giving them Ambrosia for the first time. Each upgrade level increases the maximum number of times a companion may be used per escape attempt by one. If upgraded mid-run, the maximum number of uses will increase in the current run. Fully upgrading a companion costs At first, only Shady and Rib may be used against Hades. However, once you have forged a sufficient bond with him and a few others, he will grant you authority to use any of the companions against him.
