God of war axe
It's an absolute joy to use in the game, and it's a refreshing change of pace from the Blades of Chaos in the previous games. So obviously, we're gonna build it. I suspect there are many guides on how to build a Leviathan Axe prop out there already, and god of war axe will most certainly see more pop up in the coming years.
Replacing the old Blades of Chaos , this weapon personifies the change of heart and personality of the Ghost of Sparta by the time he inherits the Axe, having long abandoned the path of destruction he caused with his former Blades. The axe has several runes inscribed on the blade that grants it different powers, among them the use of ice, and the ability to recall the weapon from any distance. It also has two slots for Runic Attacks to be placed in, a heavy and light attack for each slot. The Axe Pommel is customizable with pommels found throughout the Realms or bought from Brok and Sindri. During Kratos' journey to spread Faye's ashes, he encounters Brok and Sindri, who each upgrade the axe, improving its magic and attack strength.

God of War is one of Sony's biggest first-party franchises. It primarily follows the twisting and violent story of Kratos, a Spartan warrior who becomes the eponymous God of War, as he clashes with colossal deities across both Greek and Norse mythology. The franchise's reboot saw the rage-filled Kratos begin to mature and mellow, in large part due to his newfound role as a single father following the tragic death of his wife, Faye. The Leviathan Axe acts as an antithesis both to Kratos' bloody past and to the evil Odin whose murderous rampages have threatened to destroy the Nine Realms. Here's a brief history of the Leviathan Axe and its lore, how it works in-game, and how it compares to other iconic God of War weapons. When the Spartan warrior lost a battle against a Barbarian King and feared for the lives of his men, he called on Ares, the Greek God of War, to save them in exchange for his servitude. Ares agreed and bonded the Blades of Chaos to Kratos, allowing him to emerge victorious, but at a cost. Kratos' servitude led him down a bloody and vengeful path of rage and violence, symbolized by the blades that had almost become a physical part of him.

The router is an exceptionally dangerous machine, and you don't want to get on its bad side. Start with the handle. I also left the pommel bottom relatively square so I could carve it later. Your reference images will be invaluable for this step; it can get confusing. I started aggressively taking off material to make the edge until I reached the line. Don't worry if it looks a little messy; we're going to do some finish sanding later. Kinda the point, after all. View history Talk 3. About: I like to make wooden things. I started with the handle. The first thing I did was draw a line where I wanted the taper for the "blade edge" to start.
Like the previous God of War, Ragnarok will have you upgrading your main weapons over the course of your adventure with Kratos.
Using a couple smaller shavings that I didn't attach to the long shaving, I created the criss-cross X's at the top and bottom of the wrap. The axe has several runes inscribed on the blade that grants it different powers, among them the use of ice, and the ability to recall the weapon from any distance. Start with the handle. If you do this, practice on a scrap piece of wood. Don't worry if it looks a little messy; we're going to do some finish sanding later. I'm lucky enough to have a bandsaw, which makes short work of the this step. This means every time the line intersected, forked, ended, etc. A jigsaw or scroll saw will also work just fine. This established the boundary. Press , , , to perform. If you don't know what this means or don't have an appropriate bandsaw, just do the three-piece method, trust me. Not counting glue and polyurethane, there's not one bit of non-wood in this build. If you look at pictures of the Leviathan Axe, you'll see that there is a sort of decorative disc in the middle, and four bolt looking things, presumably to hold the axe head onto the handle. If you do the sandwich method: resaw the chunk of wood for the axe head on a bandsaw that has resawing capabilities. The first thing I did was use double-sided tape to put the reference image onto the head.
Idea shaking, I support.
