Variant Scythe is a weapon with extremely long range and wide area of attacks. Its Vertical Fang and Cleaving Fang focus on a centralized area and deal multiple hits worth of damage to the region. It has some very good Burst Arts that augment its damage and god eater 3 scythe good meter gain.

Its characteristics are its diamond-hard blade and its internal God Arc control system. With this system, its mouth can be metamorphosed into numerous blades, increasing its attack range. Stamina does not regenerate while in this mode. This form is maintained so long as the combo continues, however it does not continue into an air combo. During Extend Bite, press the weak attack button for an extremely wide-sweeping attack. It also hits targets behind you. The attack does much more damage at the tip. Can combo into itself or Vertical Fang. Consumes stamina. During Extend Bite, press the strong attack button to bring your Scythe down in a vertical slam. As with Round Fang, the Scythe does more damage at the tip of the attack. Can combo into Round Fang or Cleave Fang. Can be performed immediately after a step so long as the Extend Bite was maintained. Contrary to the other Extend Bite attacks, this attack does more damage the closer you are to the target. This attack ends Extend Bite mode.

So far, based on what you say, I prefer using this scythe, but I'll still check them out.
