It is not possible to search "inside" a ticket with global search enabled? I try it but it returns all my tickets and not tickets with criterions in global search field. Here are my global configuration :.

I'm currently evaluating GLPI for my organization and finding it really powerful and intuitive. I have created a test template but I can't see how you actually use it. When I create a ticket it always uses the default template and I can't see anyway to select or change to the template I have created. I've looked over the help documents but I doesn't elaborate, it just shows you how to create them. Ticket templates are a way to customize the ticket form based on the entity, the selected category, or a user's current profile. The applicable template is then evaluated based on the category, profile and finally the entity in that order. So, if the selected ticket category has Template A set as the default and the user's profile has Template B, Template A will be used.

When a ticket category is selected in GLPI, it can automatically add tasks to the ticket. Below is an example for illustrative purposes. Name and number them in such a way that they are easy to identify in subsequent steps. In the Predefined Fields section of the ticket template, select Tasks from the first pulldown. Then, select the specific task from the second pulldown. Finally, click Add. Do this for each task template you wish to add. Note: this part can be confusing. The order in which you select the tasks in 2, above, is not the order they will appear in the ticket. If there is a specific order you desire, be sure to select the tasks in reverse order.
