Giants mountaintop catacombs
Frustrating traps and confusing routes pepper the catacombs dungeons of Elden Ring.
It is an optional dungeon that is home to a few treasure items and a miniboss Foe. This page contains information on the location, walkthrough, and guide to traverse this dungeon, locate all of its treasure, and tips to defeat the enemies within. On the path through the Mountaintops of the Giants, head east from Zamor Ruins, and as you approach the large bridge, loop around the right-hand side just before the bridge to see a path sloping down to some double doors buried in the rock face. Beyond the Site of Grace, down the two flights of stairs, you'll enter a room lined with statues of Erdtree Burial Watchdogs. A Fanged Imp with a two-handed sword will drop from the ceiling across the room. The small room to the west has two more Fanged Imps; one directly ahead in view, and one waiting to ambush you from the right as soon as you enter.

To find this dungeon, go north from Zamor Ruins until you reach the bridge with fire monks, then turn south east and follow the slope down to the door. To find this dungeon, start at the Zamor Ruins Grace. Continue forwards heading through the ruins eastward, then going underneath the mountain as you turn north. You'll find a bridge with a group of fire monks. There's a ledge on the east side of the encounter area, with the door at the end of said ledge. This dungeon can be disorienting due to traversing very similar sets of rooms more than once. Similar rooms will be numbered to help. From the Site of Grace go down two flights of stairs, an Imp will be hanging off the far wall to jump onto you. The room straight ahead will have another imp on the wall, a second one will ambush you from the right once you enter. Pick up the Grave Glovewort 7 , then turn around and to the left.
Well, giants mountaintop catacombs, yea its not much fun. Do note that I am already level or so when facing them, and I used a GreatShield, so it was quite easy to block their attacks.
An Imp will throw knives from the end of the room, and another one will drop from the ceiling. Now, proceed left to a room full of three imps; one will ambush, and two will throw pots from afar. Kill them, then use the second elevator that has chains. Move south to a large room that has a statue and make a way to the right, climb the stairs, and go to another room on the left without stepping on the trap. This area is full of giant blades going up and down as well as Exploding Living Jars. Proceed south, then enter the room to the left and climb another set of stairs to be greeted by multiple Land Squirts. Keep moving forward while ignoring the Elden Ring enemies and exit the room quickly to enter another one.

Head north to a chained elevator and activate it but stay on the ground , as it will reveal a path. Leap down to the Giant Elden Ring Jar and go south.

Yay From! This is the giant-conquering hero's grave. Try to maintain distance from it and hit it immediately after it finishes an attack. From here, turn right, proceeding up the stairs. However if you fall into them you will end up in Statue Room 1 and will have to traverse the entire loop again. Nothing can save you from the awful boss though. Well done! After pulling the lever, drop down into Statue Room 1, take the path the statue is facing and after a ride up Elevator 2, you should be ready to fight the boss, an Ulcerated Tree Spirit. Man the boss sucks, but overall this is one of the most memorable catacombs, even as a frustrating one. Mobs are tanky and hit like a truck, asshat imps. This Tree Spirit, like the others, is a highly aggressive, incredibly fast-moving enemy and due to its size, it can be very easy to have the game's camera turn on you, particularly if lock-on is used. Just a heads up, seems to be a hot area, fun fights down there with all the traps. Around the outskirts of the room are three small Living Jars, and a Grave Violet can be found to the left of the statue.
Frustrating traps and confusing routes pepper the catacombs dungeons of Elden Ring. These, coupled with difficult enemies and an intimidating boss, make the Mountaintop Catacombs one of the more difficult catacombs in the game. Further, many of the more difficult enemies in the dungeon can be easily cheesed, and the final boss is more bark than bite.
Really resent the little exploding pots that are not targetable and damage you through stone walls, not kewl. The developers made this dungeon to make up for the lack of difficulty of all the other dungeons. There is an illusory wall to the right halfway along this corridor, which hides an alcove with an imp and another Glovewort. Return to the elevator and ride it back again. As you turn the corner at the end of the corridor you'll arrive at a lift. Imps here can drop both Smithing 6's and 7's though 7s seem to be more common. Then just guard counter over and over until you break their poise and can deal some decent damage with a stun finisher. By this point usually i feel comfortable to try not to use summon ash and just beat the boss with my fists. I like this place, but not for the enemies or anything. Boss battle was over before I knew it. This route is a dead-end to make your way back up Elevator 1. Watch out for x3 gargoyle-gang-bang on your way out with the 'wort though. Those guys' AI are luckily programmed so poorly they don't actually follow you up the ladder if you aggro him from above with whatever you got.
This situation is familiar to me. I invite to discussion.
