But it is also only the second since the reboot that started with the Bumblebee movie. It is set in , way before the events of the Michael Bay movies, allowing the studio to chart a different path for the machines stranded on earth. The film, which opened in theatres on June 8, follows the familiar template of Autobots and humans joining forces to defeat a dark power that threatens the existence of all life on Earth. While they are able to keep the villain, Unicron, at bay, his threat still looms large and will supposedly remain the chief antagonist of a proposed trilogy in this timeline. After years of Autobots vs Decepticons battles, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, takes a step forward and expands the universe with other Cybertronian lifeforms, like, the Maximals and Terrorcons at play. The film ended with former army man Noah Diaz Anthony Ramos , attending yet another job interview, but the company, as it turns out, is a cover for a secret government organization that has been keeping track off his world-saving escapades with the Autobots.
