George and his team continually strive for excellence. The restaurant has undergone a major renovation and the results are magnificent. George says that the goal was to reinvent the business, and bring the look and feel of the restaurant in line with the quality of the food and service. And that feel is overt and alluring. The long, wooden tables produce a ligneous charm and large meshed lamp shades act as a focal point, hanging proudly from the ceiling. Customers can sit comfortably amongst beige cushions, and take drinks off of wicker trays. Food wise, there is a strong focus on using fresh, local produce. The wine list has also expanded, with around 40 world-class wines able to be poured by the glass. And whilst the focus remains on supporting local producers, there are wines from all over the world on the menu. It has been a while since we last had fine dining and so on our day off we visited a popular Adelaide fine dining restaurant named Georges on Waymouth.
