Why is it that I'm so alone? This is dedicated to those that share the same feeling of isolation. The game tells the story of a young boy named Seto, possibly the Sole Survivor of a world where humanity has suddenly vanished, leaving its cities abandoned. After the old man who he had been staying with passes on, fragile dreams game, Seto is left completely alone, but upon reading a letter the old man has written for him, he decides to leave the safety of his home and fragile dreams game to " the red tower to the east " in hopes of finding other survivors.

In Fragile Dreams , the player character, Seto, must traverse the ruins of Tokyo and the surrounding areas, fighting off ghosts that lurk within these ruins. Seto will fall unconscious if his HP reaches zero, resulting in a game over. The player controls Seto from a third-person perspective with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. Seto can use his flashlight controlled by the Wii Remote pointer to illuminate his surroundings or solve puzzles and interact with the environment. When searching for certain objectives or hidden enemies, pointing Seto's light in their direction picks up and plays their sounds through the Wii Remote's mini speaker.
This atmospheric journey through a lonely world remains captivating in spite of some glaring flaws. Have you ever imagined how it would feel to be entirely alone in the world? To wander through eerily empty shopping malls and subway stations that were once filled with bustling crowds, hearing only your own footsteps? That haunting prospect is a reality for Seto, the young man whose story you experience in Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon. And the game conjures an overwhelming sense of loneliness and isolation so effectively that you'll find yourself deeply caught up in his journey. Awkward combat and one particularly long, dull leg of Seto's quest prevent Fragile Dreams from being the entirely magical experience it approaches at times.

Fragile Dreams is a great example of a spectacular concept whose execution could have used a little more thought and time. I love the premise, the setting, some of the characters, and the production values. The story is engrossing. Exploring the lush, beautiful environments in search of clues is fun. The flashlight controls and effects are really impressive. Even combat, in dire need of a lock-on, is functional. It really does have a lot going for it, and you'll see that reflected in the scores below. And yet, some of the design decisions and gameplay conventions are exceedingly tired and frustrating. The unnecessary, uninspired fetch quests, blatant backtracking and awkward item management system distract and subtract in a big way from what is otherwise a quality experience.

While it plays similarly to a Survival Horror game, it's not horror outright, instead settling for being eerie, sad, lonely, depressing and rarely disquieting, while also relying heavily on the player's ability to draw his or her own conclusions about why most things are the way they are. I can't even really see anything anymore. The emotional elements — like a haunting loneliness that pervades the world, the despair resonating in the voices of the characters — are clearly in place and Fragile Dreams ' development team, Tri-Crescendo, has found the right mix for a game that is truly a wonderful experience. Whatever empathy may have been felt for others was quickly trampled by people's self-interest.
