Finn Mikaelson is an Original Vampire. He is the husband of Sage Mikaelson. He is the oldest son and second child of Esther Mikaelson and Mikael Agnarsson. He is the nephew of Dahlia Hagen through his mother. He is also the older maternal half-brother of Niklaus Mikaelson.

Finn first appears in Bringing Out the Dead when he's undaggered by Elijah , and his first action is to stab Klaus in the hand with the dagger itself. Finn is the oldest of the siblings that were turned into vampires and is also the one who was daggered the longest--around years. He was in love with a woman named Sage back then, but when he comes back in the present day, he thinks she's long gone. Finn goes along with Esther 's plan of killing her children, and volunteers himself to be the one she kills, which will in turn kill the rest. There he finds out that Sage is still alive and in love with him, which seems to reignite his will to live.
