Contrary to popular belief, most film sets are not glamorous. Even if you go back to the alleged "golden age" of Hollywood, everyone working on a film set was being worked to their bones for the illusion of glamour. Even though film sets may not be high glam, they are one of the most unique places you can work. It's not special because you work with actors or make movies; they're special because movie sets are one of the most collaborative places one can work. Everybody has to do their part. Otherwise, the whole operation falls apart. There are so many fake jobs where people sit behind a desk, mess around all day, and leave without it really hurting the company.
