Febustat 40 tablet is used to lower the raised uric acid levels in the blood, which can also lead to a condition known as hyperuricemia. Febustat 40 tablet contains febuxostat as its active ingredient. It is an anti-gout medicine. Febustat 40 acts by inhibiting the chemical substance xanthine oxidase responsible for the formation of uric acid, thus lowering serum uric acid levels. The active ingredient in Feburic 40 tablet , Febuget 40 tablet and Febutax 40 tablet are also febuxostat. This medicine should not be used by children below 18 years of age.
