This year's 34th International Ayia Napa International Festival will take place in the Central Square of the village from the 28th until the 30th of September, and promises special moments featuring big concerts by the great artists Dionisis Savvopoulos Saturday 29 September and Pantelis Thalassinos Friday 28 September. There will be compositions by Theodorakis, Hatzidakis, Loizou, Thalassinos, Xarhakos and our own Mario Toka, which this year completes 10 years since his death. Yiannis Karousos and the Minister of Interior, Mr. Constantinos Petrides. Dionysis Savvopoulos will perform songs by other artists, old and new, from Attik or Markos Vamvakaris, for example Thanasis Papakonstantinou, Foivos Delivorias and others. The musical performance is inspired by his narratives on acquaintance, his memories and his thoughts about these great musicians and their songs. This is the first time that Dionysis Savvopoulos will be presenting a concert that is not based on his own songs, but mainly on the songs of others he loved.
