They report power only via Bluetooth.

This thing can measure power consumption. Is it by any chance possible to read out the measurements i supect not directly, as it uses thread and BT to communicate? Perhaps via an api or something? I do see the actual measurements as well as a history in the eve app, so me thinks, the data has to be stored somewhere…. Have you gotten any further with this?

After that, it changes its status to "unavailable" every 5 minutes. The device is always reliably responsive via HomeKit, in HA unfortunately only the first 5 minutes after that it remains unavailable. The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:. Code owners of matter can trigger bot actions by commenting:. Sorry, something went wrong. Also today I tried again to solve the problem somehow, without success. After multiple remove and re-add I add here once the entry from the logbook and the Matter log. I was able to "solve" this by removing the outlet from HA via HomeKit I had also added it as a matter device there. Then I could wait a bit before adding it back as a new matter device to HA. I say "solved" in quotes because the unavailable outlet is still in HA, but the same re-added outlet is also there, so disabling the broken one hides it and makes things work again.

I really hope using Matter will solve the issue. Eero routers have long had Thread radios in them. That is really important.

Eve Energy Matter not show consumption and cost. But there are no sensors for consumption and costs like my Bosch one. No response.

In addition to controlling whatever device is plugged into it, an Eve Energy smart plug can act as a Thread border router, forming a bridge between your Thread network and your primary home network and from there to the internet. And it does it for a whole lot less money than an iPod mini. On the other hand, it only works with HomeKit. A compact, HomeKit-compatible smart plug with plenty of automation options along with robust energy-monitoring features, Eve Energy might be pricier than its competitors, but it comes with an ace up its sleeve: support for Thread, an exciting wireless protocol that will—eventually— work hand-in-hand with Matter , the new smart home platform that promises to finally teach Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit to play nice with each other. Eve Energy checks most of the most important boxes when it comes with energy-monitoring smart plugs, but because it only works with HomeKit for now, anyway , Android users will need to look elsewhere. The same is true for anyone who depends on Alexa or Google Assistant for smart home control. Measuring roughly 2. Eve Energy is rated to deliver 15 amps and 1, watts, which makes it suitable for lights, fans, humidifiers, and similar small appliances.

On your iPhone open the Home Assistant app. Once the Eve Energy is back online after the firmware update, locate the accessory in Apple Home and open the Accessory Details. If you delete the device that way, it will also be removed from the Matter controller and from HA. Or am I doing something wrong? Only my Zigbee devices are no longer accessible since I pulled the SkyConnect. I really hope using Matter will solve the issue. I found that the readings drops out from HA regularly. I am asking because I do not want to buy a Homepod mini and an iPhone just to be able to use an Eve Smartplug. Keep your Homekit devices Homekit and only buy factory provisioned Matter devices. You signed in with another tab or window. If they are already within Apple HomeKit then you need to create a virtual equivalent device in HA linked via HomeBridge and then use an automation in HomeKit to link the two devices when events happen.

Thread skyconnect doesn't work. So the eve app does this serpately atm. I upgraded my eve switch to matter and can control it via HA fine. Make sure your Home Assistant instance has IPv6 enabled. But after a few detection notices is just simply stops working and show inaccessible. If I re-add the Matter integration into HA, it usually finds the device, but accepting that device has led to dead entities. For the Eve sensor it was at the same 5 minutes available though after removing it I've had bad luck adding it back. Am I missing something obvious? Seems to have rectified itself somehow.
