Sounds like a fault in the electronic traction control. You will probably need to have this checked by a dealership or a competent garage that has access to the parts. Chevella answered 12 years ago. Good lord ECT stands for "Electronically Controlled Transmission" and placing this switch into "Power" mode will change the shift points of the transmission and make the throttle more responsive. Been doing it for a couple of weeks now. Car still drives fine, engine good, gearbox good. I think this maybe a loose connection, dirty sensor?
