Power is cutting out while the trigger is pulled.
For those who have intermittent problems with their V11, it is worth checking out the trigger first. The trigger is not strong enough and Dyson do not supply a replacement. When I rang Dyson to try and find out what the problem was it was not mentioned. It would put them in a better light to be open about it and help customers rectify the problem. I for one have now had 4 Dyson hoovers over the years but I will be looking elsewhere when it comes to buy a new hoover in the future. Just replaced trigger, of course this 1 failing part not sold on Dyson website, lots of complaints all over, just search for Dyson trigger. Incredibly poor design made from cheap vinyl like material breaks the activator arm.

We have a dyson stick v10 pet SV12 we bought at costco about 5 years back. Figure its outside the service warranty wanted to take a crack at it. The vacuum recently started working intermittently. Depressing the trigger at juuust the right angle would turn on and operate normally, but otherwise nothing would happen and the battery lights were off. Looks like it might be a broken trigger. The problem is that one of the phillips screws in the motor housing is stripped. Depressing the screwdriver and turning it feels like its slipping. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
