Remember me. Hello and welcome to the Audizine Forums!
B5 Models Please discuss all - B5 A4 topics here Thread Tools. I recently got a check engine light on my A4 Quattro with about K miles. After doing some reading, it appears that it is either an 02 sensor, MAF sensor or vacuum hose leak around the engine. I replaced my MAF sensor not 5 thousand miles ago, so I'm pretty confident it's not that.

Thread Tools. Well got in my car today after coming back from the car wash to clean up and take care of my debadging I did and she decides to pay me back by throwing on the check engine light next time I went out. I do not know what that means at all or where to start at all besides knowing it has to do something with fuel and it is not getting enough fuel I would assume. Curious if anyone has any idea what it could be or if there is something common or notorious that it could be. Background information. Bought car used, about a month ago. At time of purchase timing belt and water pump done. Any suggestions or tips would be much greatly appreciated. I switched back to stock mode tune and the light was still on. Thanks again

The car seems to be running fine other than the EML on the dash and a slight fluctuation in revs when stationary. I'm thinking I should look to change the Diverter Valve first?

In the world of automotive diagnostics, the dreaded check engine light can cause anxiety for many drivers. It serves as a warning that something may be amiss under the hood. One of the common culprits behind this warning is the P engine code. In this blog post, we'll explore what code P means, its significance, and how it can affect your vehicle's performance. Code P, also known as the "Fuel Trim System Too Lean Bank 1 ," is a diagnostic trouble code that your vehicle's onboard computer ECU generates when it detects an imbalance between the air and fuel mixture in the engine's cylinders. To fully grasp the implications of P, let's break it down:. Several factors can trigger the P engine code, and diagnosing the exact cause may require the expertise of a mechanic. However, here are some common culprits:.

Home » OBD Codes. A P code appears in the engine control unit when the oxygen sensor on bank 1 recognizes too lean of an air-fuel mixture for the sensor to correct it. Several different things could cause this trouble code. Here is what you need to know about the P code. The P code indicates that the oxygen O2 sensor on bank 1 sent a signal to the engine control module that the air-fuel mixture is too lean to be corrected. If it needs to be corrected more than that, the P code will be stored. If the air fuel mixture is slightly lean, you will often get no other symptoms from the P code other than the check engine light on your dashboard. If the fuel mixture is very lean, you may get any of the following symptoms:.

Wish me luck. Check carefully for leaks loose hoses in on and around the manifold with a good light. I am thinking it is a vacuum leak of some sort but am wondering why the CEL clears for days, then comes back. Originally Posted by gotXJ. All times are GMT P System Too Lean Bank 1 code.
