Stat Growths are influenced by Vocation.
Stats are numerical values representing a character's physical and magickal abilities - they primarily represent ability in battle, and can affect some other physical activities such as running. As the Arisen and pawn gain levels all primary stats increase, with the amount dependent on Vocation - for details see Stat Growths. There are other character stats, notably Character Weight and Character Height , which are derived from the character creation, mostly from height, musculature, and fatness - these which influence a number of factors including mobility, encumbrance and reach. A character's Vocation affects Stat Growths when leveling up - everytime the Arisen or Pawn level up, they gain 5 to 40 points in Health and Stamina, and between 0 and 6 points in the four offensive and defensive stats. Stat growth is greatest up to level , after which stat increases per level are reduced to somewhere between a half to a third of the previous growth.

If I continued playing Strider until and decided I wanna play a Magick Archer now would I be playing a "gimped" version of that vocation or would it still do well? Showing 1 - 15 of 18 comments. Do well. Elaborated response: MA needs lot of stamina to be played confortably, but not much magic attack since it can abuse magic rebalancer.
What do you need help on? Well, that's all.
This is for people who were curious about what the stat growth is. These levels determine ONLY what skills are availible to learn per weapon, per class and what augments and core skills passives you can learn from that class. Take note that YOU level up based on experience. Your vocation actually doesn't care about experience points. Instead it cares about dicipline points Advanced locations take about 1. Because of this, you can actually level all of the vocations you don't really plan on using without ever gaining levels on your character.

An un-weaponed character has stagger and knockdown of An unarmored character has stagger, knockdown, elemental, and debilitation resistances of 0, and their calculated defenses differ from the core values by only a few points due to the Cassardi Shift and Cassardi Trousers , plus an increase in MDEF from some worn rings. There are a number of additional stats that primarily depend on equipment and weapons. These are:. Armor also contributes majorly to the calculated Defense , and to Magick Defense , whilst primary and secondary weapons add a contribution to Strength and or Magick , depending on whether they are physical or magickal weapons.

Impressive work! I suggest actually playing as one path, either pure magickal or pure physical, for few levels. Originally posted by Vic :. Well, that's all. Random rents are abit rare. For regular skills, a hybrid class such as assassin will be able to learn ALL the cross-class abilities through its own skill menu like assassin learning all the sword, shield, shortbow, and dagger. The following stat calculators can help determine the stats at various levels. This would be for a Mystic Knight with freedom to swap to Magick Archer. Ignoring those, all skills are tied to a weapon, or they're a core skill. A damage mitigation build will take advantage of 90 Levels of sorcerer and Levels of fighter from to get MDef and Def, this when paired with the right armour results in an absolute tank that doesn't take damage even on hard mode, which can still deal enough damage at level to pull its weight, in fact, it can do damage on both magic and attack builds. This vocation has the highest cumulative Stamina gains out of all vocations. At level , my Magick Archer feels seriously OP. Starting Stamina is independent of vocation but increases by a small amount by each increase in Character Weight class. You're stuck with whatever decision you make here.
Stats in Dragon's Dogma are the attributes of the character, that determine their performance and capabilities with their chosen Vocation and Skills. Stats will increase as the character levels up, based on the chosen vocation, and you may temporarily boost these with consumables or gear, as well as be affected by debuffs.
If you play the balanced classes or bounce around throughout the game, you'll be fine. What may not be obvious to you is how strong this is compared to other weapons in the game. When it comes to magic based classes, ignore the Mage altogether when it comes to simply learning weapon skills, as EVERY magic based class can do everything the Mage can, except heal and cure ailments. I am Anti-Woke. Start a Wiki. Choco Cookies! You can live without optimized stats, you'll experience FOMO if you aren't hitting as much damage as you think you should be. Foxhound Topic Creator 3 years ago 2 I'm pretty intimidated by the pawn system too. Everything dies very quickly and the damage contribution from my pawns feel comparatively insignificant. The highest stat growth is to level , with a slight change in the partitioning of growth at level 10; from level to growth is much reduced to around one third of that per level previously. This cloak also synergizes well with Spring Water, Efficacy mentioned above or any curatives that has a blanket effect by default.
