Are you expecting us to buy DLC for single-player game that you refuse to update with the stuff from Together. Nobody plays Singleplayer anymore because it's outdated Are the people who make Together and Singleplayer different departments that don't speak to each other?!? Edit: Just to clarify, this is not about wanting to play Hamlet with other people, this is about not being able to access half a game's content because I'm on singleplayer. Hamlet is forcing me to go back to game that has half the content that DST. Don't Starve has been a favorite for many fans of the survival genre for quite a few years now. Releasing in April , Don't Starve 's awesome art style and unforgiving mechanics made it an unforgettable entry into a genre that's littered with unremarkable carbon copies and games that simply never, ever get finished. But the release wasn't the end for Don't Starve. A year later, an expansion called Reign of Giants was released. A little over a year after that, another expansion, Shipwrecked , released. And now, three years after Shipwrecked, the next expansion has arrived: Hamlet.

This is a survival guide written for players starting out in the Hamlet DLC, which deviates in some aspects from the formula shared by the other DLCs in addition to adding many new features. This guide is for features and strategies exclusive to Hamlet. For players who have not played Don't Starve before, see this guide. This guide only covers the first few days of the DLC. The first thing you will notice after waking up is your spawn point. Similar to Shipwrecked , the pieces of debris around you can be hammered for resources. More importantly, however, is a machete on the floor. This machete is vital to your survival, as the Tall Grass must be harvested with it.

With its unique mechanics, seasonal challenges, and abundance of mobs Don't Starve: Hamlet is considered a challenging yet throughly enjoyable DLC. While many useful guides and tutorials can be found online, I resorted to assembling my own here in Fandom in an effort to give back to a community that has helped me a lot while navigating the game.
