Doc Robinson Hatch. Reply Doc Robinson Hatch. Doc Robinson Hatch: "The Doc Robinson Hatch is a good bloodline to have whether you are a beginner or someone who wants to improve the speed and ferocity of your yard. Like any good breeder at that time, Doc Robinson was always on a look out for great fightingcocks to improve his line. Whenever Doc saw a bird in the pit that he liked, and thought could improve his he would buy it and take it home. Normally, when we see a Doc Robinson Hatch in the pits, we see a dark colored rooster with dark legs but actually Doc had 2 different hatch lines. The light side and dark side, separated on each side of the yard and the birds looked completely different.

If you cannot see the light through the egg, then it is fertile. Normally, when we see a Doc Robinson Hatch in the pits, we see a dark colored rooster with dark legs but actually Doc had 2 different hatch lines. We store them in safe compartment, tilting the eggs from left to right every day to help the hatching percentage. If the egg is placed the wrong way the egg will not hatch. Within three days many more of the chicks could be infected due to them drinking from the same water supply. We generally vaccinate our baby chicks no later than 2 weeks old so that we can get them out of the brooders and on to the range area as soon as possible for maximum plumage. It is important if you notice something like this to segregate the chick from the rest until you can identify the problem and medicate properly. It is also a good idea to give a good wormer and vitamins at least twice a month. Candling eggs using a flashlight, cup your hand around the egg and shine the flashlight through the egg to check and see if the egg is fertile. Allow at least one week after vaccinating before exposing the chicks to the range area though. This gives the chicks ample room to run free and roost. The light side and dark side, separated on each side of the yard and the birds looked completely different. I don't find this surprising as I have witnessed this behavior in other bloodlines as well. It is also a good idea to give a good wormer and vitamins at least twice a month. The light side were very light lemon hackled birds with yellow legs and a pea comb. Pox, Newcastle, Merricks, and Coriza are four of the many diseases that we vaccinate for. On the 21st day of the incubation period we will pull the chicks out of the incubator and give them a unique marking according to their bloodline. On the 18th day of the incubation period, remove the eggs from the incubator and candle the eggs. At this time, we place all fertile eggs back into the incubator in individual sections according to the number on the egg to prevent our different bloodlines from becoming mixed during the hatching process. There were many lines, the main one is the Red-Bandeds and the information regarding the Red-bandeds is that the Red-bandeds received their name because they descended from a hen with a red leg band, Doc Robinson took five cocks out of her and showed them at Sunset winning every fight. Make sure your birds have fresh water every day. And also dark legged legged and dark colored lemons which sometimes turn up when inbred. The dark side were more uniform with a dark mahogany color, green and blue legs, and had a straight comb with the occasional lemon hackle around the bottom of the hackle. And another strain, is The Rag hatch blood. I saw a dark legged kelso that came out of intense inbreeding, which gives substance to the story that Walter Kelso at one time may have infused his cocks with hatch blood.
