In doing so, Naruto also rescues his best friend, Sasuke Uchiha from darkness , and, thus, his story is a success. Fans all over the world love Naruto Uzumaki and when the sequel to the story, Boruto, teased his death, fans grew anxious, and rightly so. Finally, after years, Boruto has finally revealed what exactly happened to the Seventh Hokage and whether or not he's truly dead. In the prologue of Boruto , fans were treated to an intense clash in the village of Konoha between Boruto Uzumaki, Naruto's son , and Kawaki, a mysterious boy who fans knew nothing about at that point in time. The village surrounding them was completely destroyed, comparable to when pain attacked Konoha. Amidst all the destruction, Boruto and Kawaki traded blows and, by the looks of it, were out for each other's blood. It was then that Boruto Uzumaki lamented the outcome of their relationship. To that, Kawaki replies that he will send him to the same place that he sent the 7th Hokage to. Immediately, fans assume that Naruto Uzumaki is in some sort of danger. Due to the ambiguity of Kawaki's words, it wasn't certain as to whether he had died or was just incapacitated in some form. However, the fact that Boruto Uzumaki claimed to be the only Shinobi at this point and exclaimed that the age of Shinobi is over, led fans to believe that Naruto Uzumaki is, truly, dead.
Killing all the Otsutsuki also means that Kawaki needs to kill his own brother, Boruto.
In the Boruto anime, Naruto found himself having to power up like never before to protect his son, as well as Sasuke and Kawaki. Unfortunately, despite the Konoha leader's efforts, the series took a major casualty in Episode by killing off its most powerful hero. Ironically, the most senior of the Tailed Beasts debuted in the first Naruto episode in It's a heartbreaking death, and what makes it even more sentimental is he tricked Naruto, all to preserve the person he's been embedded within for decades. This is due to the Baryon Mode pact where Kurama told Naruto that once Isshiki's body expired, the Hokage's energy would be depleted too and the leader would die. With Isshiki now being crushed to dust, Naruto enters the astral plane where he's ready to accept moving to the afterlife, but the fox admits he misled Naruto. Boruto : Naruto Next Generations focuses on Naruto's son and the next ninja generation, but there have been plenty of times the Seventh Hokage had to step in to protect his family and the Hidden Leaf Village. After experiencing multiple defeats against Jigen, and then a reincarnated Isshiki Otsutsuki, things were looking bad for Naruto. In the final battle, his biggest loss was Kurama , who sacrificed himself to give Naruto the power to end the threat of Isshiki for good. But it left fans wondering if Naruto's death could be looming on the horizon as well. While he experienced his fair share of losses in Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden , losing Kurama was the first time the character has been made so powerless. While he does have his own massive reserves of chakra, they are nothing compared to Kurama's contribution. This puts Naruto in a very dangerous position. He is well-known worldwide as the Seventh Hokage and the world's strongest shinobi, and now that he has killed Isshiki, it's all but guaranteed he's going to become a bigger target than ever before. With Code inheriting Isshiki's will and somehow being stronger than his late master , Naruto is in a much more precarious position. Although he is of no real use to Code or the rest of Kara without Kurama, Naruto is still a high-priority target for killing their late leader.

Knowing that Naruto will stand in his way, Kawaki sent him to a different dimension, along with his wife, Hinata Uzumaki. With Isshiki now being crushed to dust, Naruto enters the astral plane where he's ready to accept moving to the afterlife, but the fox admits he misled Naruto. The future scene at the beginning of Boruto , where an older Boruto and Kawaki are in the middle of a fight that seemingly destroyed the Hidden Leaf, may hint at Naruto's potential death. All in all, this could end up proving great for his character as well. Finally, Boruto has answered this question, at least partially. This also implied that something had happened to Sasuke as well, further strengthening the idea that all the other Shinobi were most likely dead. Because of the love and devotion Naruto has shown him, Kawaki loves him as the father he always wished he had, and he's made it clear on multiple occasions that he has no desire to see Naruto hurt or dead. The fact that time does not flow in that dimension means that Naruto would have had millions of years, if not more, to train and attain great power. However, to do this, Kawaki would also need to get rid of Boruto Uzumaki, who is a vessel for Momoshiki at this moment. However, the fact that Boruto Uzumaki claimed to be the only Shinobi at this point and exclaimed that the age of Shinobi is over, led fans to believe that Naruto Uzumaki is, truly, dead. The short answer to this is, no, Naruto Uzumaki is not dead.
