Did kaneki die
Kaneki very nearly dies multiple times throughout the series. Skullbet Chapter 1 of the manga and season one episode one of the animeKaneki is attacked by a ghoul named Rize and comes very close to death — thankfully he is saved, did kaneki die. In Chapter and Chapter of the manga, a character did kaneki die Arima stabs Kaneki through the eye, but Kaneki survives this ordeal also.
In a story as grim as Tokyo Ghoul , witnessing characters die isn't something startling. Sui Ishida, the creator of the manga, is known for killing off his main characters, and he does it in style. Ishida's writing is so phenomenally nuanced that fans are often trapped between hating the villain and supporting their cause. Every character, be it a hero or a villain, carries a heavy burden and a sad past that leaves the reader feeling truly mournful. Considering the complexity of Tokyo Ghoul , it's difficult to say which character's death in the series was the saddest. That said, some deaths naturally felt more profound than others.
Did kaneki die
In Tokyo Ghoul , Kaneki and Hide have been friends since childhood. In the manga, Hide and a badly wounded Kaneki encountered each other in a sewer where the latter sought refuge following his fight with investigator Koutarou Amon. Hide insisted Kaneki eat him to regain his strength after which Kaneki blacked out only to wake up with the taste of blood in his mouth. That applied to Hide too who appeared in Tokyo Ghoul:re when the Tokyo Ghoul anime canon adapted his Scarecrow storyline from the manga. Hide's return in Tokyo Ghoul:re caused a lot of confusion among anime fans as a whole — since he was seemingly killed off in season 2. In addition, the reasoning behind his return is flimsy at best, but plenty of anime resurrections have taken this route before. That being said, the third season of Tokyo Ghoul included a number of retcons other than Hide's death and return to the series. Interest in anime is at an all-time high, as proven by the Demon Slayer smashing box offices in Therefore, to keep up, showrunners decided to make some serious retcons of season 2 to introduce season 3 of Tokyo Ghoul. While Hide's return is certainly welcome among audiences, this retcon among others has confused many fans who only follow the anima, and proves that Tokyo Ghoul:re has a serious continuity problem.
Considering the complexity of Tokyo Did kaneki dieit's difficult to say which character's death in the series was the saddest. As Haise Sasaki, he still considers her his favorite author, but speculates she is a woman filled with despair and hatred towards the world and has completely abandoned hope long ago.

In the anime, she dies during their escape attempt. Fostered by the Tsukiyama family after the death of her parents, Karren is a loyal servant to Shu Tsukiyama. Like many other characters, they are used in Professor Kanou's unethical experiments, but they still consider him their father. He was loyal, devoted, and possessed a good work ethic. While the manga readers were clearly disappointed by how rushed all the events of the story felt, there were many non-manga viewers who had a great time watching it. The brainchild of the entire series is Sui Ishida, who took the world of manga by storm with his first original work. Not at all being familiar with manga, I cannot really comment on how the anime is different from its source material.
Things start looking better for her once she marries Arata Kirishima and gives birth to two children, but she is soon hunted by the CCG's white reaper, Kishou Arima. He's more driven and has a tunnel-vision mentality of wanting to protect the ghouls on his lonesome. Upon recognizing these flaws, Kaneki states that despite all of the death that he's caused, both directly and indirectly, he'll continue on his path and try to bear the weight of them. He still had his old habit of scratching or rubbing his chin whenever he was hiding something or lying from his days as Kaneki. All things considered, however, Tokyo Ghoul would have never been so successful without its cast of relatable characters, many of whom perish over the course of the series. Later he asks Tsukiyama to tell him everything about his past as he could not stand avoiding "fate" anymore, having figured that he was one of Kaneki's friends. Despite this, he remains determined to stop Furuta and save both ghouls and humans. Even before becoming a ghoul, Kaneki admires Sen Takatsuki greatly, as she is his favorite horror novelist and relates himself to her works, unaware of her true identity. After being dismembered by Suzuya and Hanbee and cornered by the Oggai, Kaneki started to hallucinate — the multiple personalities of him clashing over the various choices that caused his defeat and he was close to completely giving up. Though imprisoned for many years, Donato seems to know many secrets about his past and offers hints about Kaneki's lost memories and possible future. In his second battle with Arima, Sasaki wore a form-fitting black bodysuit underneath his uniform. Thank you! His death is indubitably one of the saddest in the entire series.
