Devoted druid combo
When it comes to creature-based combo decks in the Modern format, the one that stands out the most in my mind is Devoted Druid.
Every few years, a new card is released that goes infinite with Devoted Druid. It originally started with Quillspike in literally the set after Devoted Druid was released. Possibly the most impactful and notable was Vizier of Remedies , making the infinite mana combo extremely efficient. Make a bunch of mana, do something, win the game. All this sounds great, but it has been a long time since Devoted Druid has had success in Modern.

Since there are constant new pieces for this infinite mana dork we may as well have an article devoted to breaking down some of the combos. Now that should mean an extra mana perhaps once right? Originally a common from Shadowmoor it had an infinite combo within the same block in Eventide with Quillspike. It was seen in graveyard decks such as Karador, Ghost Chieftain. What can we do with that? There was not many new pieces up until Amonkhet where Vizier of Remedies was printed. With Vizier of Remedies replacement effect the cost to untap Devoted Druid became free. This combo saw some effective play in modern to sink infinite mana into Duskwatch Recruiter and kill with Rhonas the Indomitable. Every piece was within range to hit with Collected Company and became quite the deck for awhile. It was a couple of years later that we started getting all sorts of pieces. Vizier of Remedies replacement effect the cost to untap Devoted Druid becomes free. The next card was actually shown first as a Mystery Booster test card Enchantmentize. Swift Reconfiguration is the lowest cost combo piece for Devoted Druid. With Flash it can become an unexpected infinite mana play.
The combo also plays double duty with the Traverse the Ulvenwald toolbox. Of course removing Luxior will have the counters kill Devoted Druid but that can be said of the auras as well.
