Evelyn "Evie" is the deuteragonist in Descendants. She is the daughter of the Evil Queen. Evie is portrayed by Sofia Carson.

The Descendants is a series of three movies following the lives of four teenagers, the children of classic Disney villains, who have been picked from the magicless Isle of the Lost to attend school in Auradon. Their boarding school is filled with the children of heroes and heroic characters from other Disney stories. The movies themselves are about the level of the High School Musical franchise, including lots of songs and dancing, and a decidedly junior high level of maturity. For a big Disney fan like me, it can be super fun to find all the different references. A lot of the characters in the movie have costumes, accessories, hair, and styling very similar to their parents' looks in their original movies or in some cases, their parents' famous nemeses.

Evie is the deuteragonist and tritagonist in the Descendants franchise, she is portrayed by Sofia Carson. She is the daughter of Evil Queen and the founder of Evie's 4 Hearts. Evie's lush dark hair falls from her forehead in a striking widow's peak, and she never leaves home without her crown or her mother's approval of her appearance. Looking for the perfect prince was more difficult than she thought, but through her adventures in Auradon, Evie learned the true meaning of beauty, and that a perfect prince isn't everything. Evie is a girl who is smart, flirty, and very kind in the long run. Unlike most of the villain kids, she is very pleasant, to the point that she was able to make the most sour villains smile with her laughter on her sixth birthday party. She is loyal and authoritative when she wants to be. Due to her mother's insistence that being beautiful is all that matters, Evie has problems with her own vanity and is sensitive to how others view her; her biggest fear was her not ending up as the fairest of them all. She is quite intelligent, especially in chemistry after deciding to not use her magic mirror. Over the course of the film, she gains more self-confidence about herself and learns there is more to life than being the fairest of them all. She can be a bit selfish at times when she's focused on one thing that she really wants to get. Evie was referenced in the first movie as breaking a lot of hearts on the Isle of the Lost for fun, while secretly wanting True Love; but she is not foolish enough to fall for a prince who looks nice but has an ugly personality, as she rejected Chad Charming when she found out how arrogant he is. Physically, Evie is a beautiful and charming young woman of adolescent age. In Isle of the Lost, Evie is described being the fairest of them all, with dark ocean blue hair, dark brown eyes, and full rosy red lips. In the film, Evie likes to wear her hair out, whereas in Isle of the Lost she wears it as a V-braid.

He's not the brightest kid around, but he's happy with his new life and seems to generally want to help out his friends. Mal uses her spell book to read her "Lady Manners" book extremely fast to prepare for the upcoming Cotillion. Evie was referenced in the first movie as breaking a lot of hearts on the Isle of the Lost for fun, while secretly wanting True Love; but she is not foolish enough to fall for a prince who looks nice but has an ugly personality, as she rejected Chad Charming when she found out how arrogant he is. Her chemistry teacher, now knowing that Evie cheated, nearly has her expelled but is stopped by Doug who tells him it was just an accident. Ben later returns to the group, who are waiting at the end of the staircase. Mal shouts back at her to go away. Mal and Evie then leave the shop. Mal comes back and tells the rest that Uma wants the Fairy Godmother's wand in exchange for Ben. Facilier more Doug gets to break out of his color scheme more than anyone else seems to; at the coronation he wears burgundy and at the cotillion, he wears yellow and black. Ben climbs back aboard and Mal transforms back into a human. After meeting a student named Doug who told them where their rooms are, Evie quickly falls in love with the room but immediately agrees with Mal that the room was gross. He also thinks on his feet very well. Jay is the son of Jafar from Aladdin. He used her to do his homework and did not actually want to be with her.

Evie and the others arrived back at Auradon Prep. Evie was referenced in the first movie as breaking a lot of hearts on the Isle of the Lost for fun, while secretly wanting True Love; but she is not foolish enough to fall for a prince who looks nice but has an ugly personality, as she rejected Chad Charming when she found out how arrogant he is. Like her mother, who is shown to be THE leader of the VK's parents in the few scenes we get of them in the first movie, Mal seems to be the de facto leader of the Villain Kids and pushes herself more to be the most evil she can be than the others do. Upon arrival in Auradon Prep, she is greeted by Audrey and Ben with the fact that she is a princess as well, but is slammed down by Audrey who said she was not a real princess and that her mother's royal status was stripped off when she was imprisoned on the island, crumbling Evie's hopes. King Adam Beast and Queen Belle Beauty always wear their distinctive blue and yellow colors from their movies, which as I mentioned earlier, are adopted by Auradon Prep as their school colors. He wonders if he should wear peacock feathers, but Evie reassures him that his kingly cape with fake fur suits him and Doug agrees. Prince and then King Ben how does this system work?? Ben dives into the water between them and tries to create peace. Evie uses her magic mirror to blind her momentarily but pulled aside by Mal who gives her mother a stare-off challenge in which Maleficent fails and turns into a lizard, a representation of the little amount of love in her heart.
