Denki Denkisprofessionally known as the Stun Gun Hero: Chargebolt or simply Chargeboltdenkis, is a supporting character in the Japanese superhero manga series My Hero Academia and its anime television series adaptation of the same name. Denki was a Japanese denkis who, like many others his age, denkis, aspired to become a professional hero one day.

This means DENKI can provide an alternative, non-addictive, safe, and effective treatment option for pain management. When there is a painful stimulus, enkephalins are actively secreted where the stimulus originated, as well as all along the involved pain pathways. Denki has short gold hair, parted to the right with a black lightning-shaped streak on the left of his side fringe, which is angled to partially obscure his left eye. He has slanted, somewhat triangular golden eyes and notably small eyebrows. He's slimmer than most male students in his class, with little visible muscle mass. During the Paranormal Liberation War, Denki gained a scar on his upper left forehead following his injury from Mr. Compress ' attack, although his hair covers it rather well. He wears the standard U. He also wears dark brown shoes. In his original hero costume , he wears a plain white shirt, over which he wears an open black jacket with a white lightning pattern across his back and matching pants with two lines running down his legs. He has a single, square-shaped earphone over his right ear, resembling a radio antenna sticking out of the top. His updated hero costume consists of a slightly shorter black jacket with fewer white patterns, only two near the hem and collar, and a yellow-rimmed lightning bolt around each of his shoulders. He still wears matching black pants, but they only have a small zig-zag near each of their cuffs, and he wears a belt and a white V-neck shirt. Around his right wrist, he wears a wristband with a circular mechanism from which he can shoot disc-shaped Pointers, which aid him in aiming his Quirk.

Denki has blond hair with black, lightning-shaped strokes, and small thin eyebrows. Denki's Hero Costume consists of a black jacket, that he wears open, with lightning patterns, a white shirt underneath, a belt, black pants with one stripe running down each leg, and a headset. Denki is somewhat flirtatious towards his classmates, trying to pass himself off as a smooth talker. He is not very lucky with his approaches though, frequently getting ignored or outright rejected by everyone. He is also slightly mischievous and perverted, sometimes joining with Minoru Mineta and his antics.

They seem to be good friends and are often seen together. The two heroes-in-training were paired together during the Battle Trial , and the U. Incident , showing to work decently well together. Kyoka was especially helpful to Denki at the U. Her quick thinking was very helpful at that moment, as it was very effective against the villains and it gave Momo time to create a protective blanket for Kyoka and herself to use. Though the two seem to work well together, they tend to argue quite a lot, although this is generally viewed as friendly banter rather than genuine quarreling. Kyoka will often pick on Denki by saying rude things that will darken his mood as a form of comic relief. She also, more so than everyone else in Class 1-A, happens to enjoy Denki's brainless state and is often seen in the background laughing at it with the other characters. Despite all this, or perhaps as a result of it, Denki does consider Kyoka a great friend and she views him in the same way.

Denki Kaminari appears for the first time to participate in the Quirk Apprehension Test taught by Shota Aizawa , doing his best after the teacher threatened to expel the student who got the worst marks. Kyoka uses her Earphone Jack to locate the rival team, indicating it to Denki, who advances with his Quirk ready to be used. It is unknown how well they both did in the trial itself. After the Battle Trial , he tries to ask Ochaco Uraraka out, only for her to forget him and run to ask Izuku if he's okay.
