As Chainsaw Man 's main antagonist and one of anime's most feared villains, Makima has a long list of evil deeds in her wake. A devastating amount of her wrongdoings have been made at Denji's disposal , all for Makima to orchestrate chaos and achieve her selfish goals. While most of her crimes are physical -- she kills with no conscience at all -- there is one instance that sticks out as her most inconceivable offense. In Chapter 96, Denji successfully defeats Makima, even though the odds have always been against him. When Kishibe asks how exactly he got the antagonist to let her guard down, Denji reveals that Makima had a very apathetic way of perceiving her peers. Because of this, Makima never once saw Denji as his own person -- only as Chainsaw Man. What makes this crime so much more painful than Makima's many murders and maimings is the connection Denji had to the antagonist.
