The introductory sequence to Dead or Alive Ultimate , accompanied by Aerosmith 's " Dream On ", was the first to hint at the origins of Ayane and Kasumi's enmity. Game creator Tomonobu Itagaki confirmed that Ayane as the game's main protagonist. Ayane has a threefold stake in this plot: she wants revenge for Hayate being brainwashed in their attempt to realize Project Epsilon, and for the manipulation and death of Genra. She returns as a playable character in Dead or Alive 5 , [27] [28] set two years after the events of Dead or Alive 4. Ayane follows Kasumi upon Hayate's orders, and later discovers that she is in fact really an Alpha clone.

Akira Yuki has been in the Virtua Fighter series since its inception. Using a series of well timed moves, Akira's style of play is only suited for the hardcore fighting game players. Alpha is the final boss for the majority of the story modes in Dead or Alive 4. Bass Armstrong he has appeared in all the main entries to the series. Bass is the father of Tina Armstrong. D ead or Alive made its debut with just 8 characters which was quite acceptable back in , initially on the Japanese arcades and the SEGA Saturn in Japan, before getting localized for the western market and the PS1. While Bayman and Gen Fu have skipped one entry in the DOA series, all of the characters from the original game have been appearing on every single Dead or Alive game since!
