These coloring sheets offer a nice, large coloring page, along with a corresponding Bible Verse at the top of the page and some handwriting practice at the bottom of the page. I hope your young ones enjoy this third revision! Like my other Bible coloring pages, this set features a Bible verse at the top of each page that corresponds to the picture. Note that the Bible verses are recorded in the English Standard Version.

Teach about David the Shepherd with this coloring page. This line art illustration shows the story of young David when he was a shepherd boy. This is the 3rd coloring sheet in our Bible Heroes series. Our plan is to alternate male and female people from the Bible. That is why I included so many references on the Moses page to God himself. The large illustration shows a young shepherd boy David, he is marveling at the goodness of God toward him. The caption is from 2 Samuel In the scene, David is standing with a sling and three small stones in a wilderness scene. You could imagine this as one of the moments in his life where he practiced the skills that God would one day use in battle to defeat the Goliath and save Israel. Sunday School children will enjoy this coloring sheet. It would also be an excellent Bible activity in the family or home-school. We recommend colored pencils rather than wax crayons. The finer tip of the pencil allows more detailed illustration artwork. The free Bible lesson is based on the events surrounding David being chosen as King for Israel.

Sadly, yes the newest packet does not have a page for King David. I consider that to be 2nd or 3rd grade and younger. I really appreciate that! It shows Goliath falling down to the ground after being hit by the stones. After you log in , choose the Christian page and scroll down until you see this particular worksheet packet. Thank you!
