Daryl and leah relationship
Holy hell, Walking Dead fans, the day finally arrived! Granted, Daryl and Leah's flashback-set relationship didn't exactly start off on the right foot, and it definitely didn't end well for anyone, not even Carol.
The Walking Dead had its fair share of unlikeable characters. All Lori Grimes ever did was treat Rick badly and worry about Carl. Ron Anderson was another one; he shot Carl for no reason. Then there was Gregory -- the narcissistic leader of Hilltop , who decided to betray his people and try to kill Maggie. Luckily, though, Leah died in The Walking Dead midseason finale for Season 11, proving that her character's potential was completely wasted. Leah first showed up in Season 10C, as a love interest for Daryl.

Spoilers below for anyone who hasn't yet watched The Walking Dead 's latest flashback-filled episode. For anyone who might have thought The Walking Dead didn't have a lot of new tricks up its sleeve, the episode "Find Me" upended fan expectations by giving Daryl an honest-to-Dog romantic partner in the form of Lynn Collins' Leah, even though there wasn't actually a whole lot of visible romance to be seen. But was the lack of physical intimacy detrimental to Daryl and Leah's vibe? Definitely not, according to Collins, who thought the characters' situation was still really sexy regardless. Now, by this point, Walking Dead fans know better than to actually expect the sometimes hermitic and introspective Daryl to turn into a lip-locking Casanova the first time he got together with another woman on the show. As such, it actually felt pretty natural for his relationship with Leah to grow and evolve without passionate kisses. And though pandemic safety protocols were the key reasoning why nobody got to first base, it might surprise viewers to know that the writers weren't too high on making that happen anyway. When CinemaBlend spoke with Lynn Collins ahead of the episode's airing, here's what she said about Leah, Daryl and the latter's 'sacred bubble. Well, you know, it's interesting. But then when I was talking to some of the writers, they were like, 'Oh, I don't think we would have put the kiss in anyway. So yes, it's as as much romance as you could think of like, you know, caveman times. You really have to work really hard to create that, I think, in these extreme worlds. But also, I have to say, there's something really sexy about it, too, when the stakes are so high in life circumstances like that.
Plus, by that time, Maggie and Glenn were already married and hopelessly in love. Social Links Navigation.

Negan found a wife, and even Eugene found someone who loved him for who he was, and they had a child to raise in what they hoped to be a better world. However, the one person who never found love was Daryl Dixon. Daryl started the show as someone who was almost subservient to his brother, but once he joined Rick and the other survivors, he became so much more. Daryl became a protector and a leader, and he was one of the main reasons that the people who survived made it to The Walking Dead finale in one piece.

You know, I've been around the block in this business, so not much intimidates me, but a lot excites me.

CinemaBlend spoke with Lynn Collins about making her entrance into and possible exit from the Walking Dead universe and taking on such an unexpected role within these extended Season 10 episodes. Rick Grimes lost his wife and son, but he found love with Michonne. If Leah doesn't come back at any point, I doubt Daryl will ever allow himself to be that vulnerable again. So I think the ultimatum comes from her absolute dreams dashed. While Michonne and Rick were definitely a Walking Dead power couple that fans loved, she would also have made for a natural love interest for Daryl, had things played out differently.
