Continuously evolving our skills and custom bmw r18 to match the latest available technology and design to fabricate this motorcycle entirely in-house. We accomplished the blending of generations by implementing subtle touches of the past, placing the engine at the center of attention.

After original sketches, almost everything was hand-crafted without the recourse of off-the-shelf items. Elsewhere, the one-off wheels were machined from aluminium billet and even the discs and calipers were specially made. The vintage-style girder forks were also machined from billet and are completely bespoke, as is the small, aluminium, vintage-style tank. Expect plenty of polished bare metal, too. Underneath, however, the donor R18 remains largely unchanged, including the air-cooled, shaft-drive cc boxer twin engine, electrical system and most of the dimensions.

Munich, 18 January Anyone expecting a complete rebuild of the R 18 will be in for a surprise, however. But the bike has still been transformed into an unmistakable Kingston Custom conversion. The biggest eye-catcher — and also the greatest challenge — is the Kingston fairing. The bodywork is finished in handmade Kingston design, as are the handlebars and mudguard. The BMW R 18 exhaust has been modified by Oehlerking in Kingston Roadster style, while his saddle is drawn from the range of universal accessories. The turn indicators have been replaced with Kellermann indicators and the LED front headlight is now integrated in the fairing. The original paintwork and lines have been adopted for the fairing and wing, with the addition of some details in Kingston style. The wheel suspension and fuel tank are original. The design as a whole is based on classic art deco style.

Once naked, we studied the possibilities and basically the geometry of the chassis and the type of fuel tank makes it clear that this bike can be modified in many ways, but the best style that can be given is that of a Bobber bike. It is evident that a scrambler motorcycle cannot be made… Can you imagine a modified BMW R18 with studded wheels and rolling on dirt tracks and rails? Perhaps you can work on making a cafe racer motorcycle or at least with airs that remind you of this style of custom motorcycle or perhaps something more modern and sporty. The question that we decided to make it rather bobber…. The bobber style fenders for BMW R18 have been the first thing we have installed both front and rear. Then we have installed a tracker type handlebar , with new Motogadget risers and indicators and mirrors on the grips.

The latest customs are the result of the collaboration between BMW Motorrad Italy and its dealer network. M is the letter that distinguishes the sport versions of BMW four-wheeled models, and today it also includes motorcycles like the M RR. The work has focused on chassis, suspension set-up, bodywork, and accessories, leaving mechanics and electronics unchanged as the natural strengths of the R The R 18 M project was made possible by BMW Italia and was born in the wake of the emotions that this bike can give: a fun cruiser, powerful and lively, with a big heart and an infinite torque. LowRide has involved some of the best Italian craftsmen and companies specialized in the sector. The realization of the sketches was entrusted to designer Oberdan Bezzi, already a partner of LowRide in the past.

The original outline was drawn by Oberdan Bezzi, famous for his concept sketches of new motorcycles. American Dreams stripped the bike, replacing the standard steel subframe with a new fibreglass unit that was built from scratch. The head covers and intake ducts were also chucked in favour of carbon fibre units built by specialists Carbon Italy. To match its new sporty styling, the exhaust was custom made by Exhaust Revolution, specifically creating a short and more compact unit that allows for greater lean angles.
