Programs are offered both on-campus in Carson, online and at various locations throughout the area. The programs offer faculty the opportunity to experiment with both curriculum and instructional formats. CCPE programs are largely financially self-supporting. The College provides courses, seminars, workshops, conferences, symposia and a variety of other programs for continuing education of professionals, and for those interested in developing personal and professional goals. From June through the final week in August, the College of Continuing and Professional Education offers a comprehensive array of extension courses, certificate programs, professional and personal development courses. In addition, an extensive schedule of degree-applicable courses is available for matriculated and non-matriculated students. From the end of the fall semester and through the first three weeks of January, and from the end of May through June, the University offers a series of 1, 2, and 3 unit courses designed primarily to meet the needs of students who wish to accelerate the completion of their degree programs. These courses earn residence credit and are open to any adult who meets the course prerequisites.
