Nah, it's just many people like and try to farm noobs, so you just have to be efficient at what you do and have good build. Another question is how often do you survive in those victorious fights because that means your fuel farming efficiency. I use Duster with light engine, 2 turret deployers and radar detector for 3k wires farming. Maybe i don't win very often but i provide fire support to allies without being there and it's good to defend base capture or your own base. Of course machinegunners are the worst enemy. Flying drones are less of a problem if you deploy turrets beforehand. Cannoneers and missilers are easy.
