This is will be a deeper rundown of my theory that I made a while back about Courtney.

Courtney, one of the most controversial and divisive characters in the franchise. You could either call her the most inconsistent character or the most complex character. For me, it's a mix of both. Known For: Being respectful to everyone, especially if they can help her up on her ladder to success. Courtney is very excited to be a part of Total Drama Island.

A haughty, uptight, and perfectionist overachiever who will do anything for success. As the only contestant with CIT counselor-in-training experience, Courtney is a natural leader with many strengths, but her bossy demeanor and ruthless drive to win make her a polarizing individual. Academic Athlete : She is both scholarly and athletic. The Ace : As part of being a perfectionist she prides herself in being a straight 'A' student. Her Island bio claims she's a published author, having written the award-winning book Total Triumph for Teens and that her bedroom is covered with trophies, ribbons, and plaques; she's apparently never lost anything in her life before Total Drama. Action Girl : Especially in Action. Courtney has exceptional athletic abilities and is also capable of lifting amounts of weight much greater than her own. Averted in Island where she generally did poorly in challenges, though she did rip a light post out of the ground and swing it as a weapon pretty easily. Aesop Amnesia : About how bad an idea it was to try and change Duncan to make him "perfect". On Team Amazon, however, she clashes with Heather for the position. Ambiguously Bi : She had a romance with Duncan the first three seasons before flirting with Alejandro and then starting a brief romance with Scott. The confusion comes from her biography from Total Drama Action and Total Drama All-Stars which states that she is Asian but was later confirmed to be a mistake.

Such examples were in Phobia Factor where Courtney scolds her team for mocking Tyler's fear, Basic Straining , where she stands up for Harold against Duncan and Geoff, and in Jamaica Me Sweat , when she is the only one to acknowledge the injured Izzy and Owen.

Courtney's overbearing attitude earns her a bad reputation from her teammates. While her behavior tends to vary by se as on , the two things that never change about Courtney are her obsession with winning and her overall aggressiveness. Several times , she has shown that she values the prize money over her friends and the lives of the other contestants. In her earliest days on the show , she completely focused on her team winning at all costs, although the rest of the team quickly became visibly annoyed by her constantly bossing them around. They are also similarly annoyed by her costing them certain challenges , which they perceive as hypocrisy on her part. In Total Drama Action , livid about not qualifying for the second season, she sues the show and is later permitted to compete. Taking over Justin 's role as the main antagonist of the season, it doesn't take long before her ruthlessness makes her the outcast of the remaining competitors. Only Duncan , whose tolerance begins to wear thin as well, is shown to still like her, despite their many clashes.

During Total Drama Island , the girls do not interact much as they were on opposing teams, though they didn't seem to be fond of each other. Gwen denies any attraction for Duncan as she is still dating Trent at the time. When Courtney enters the competition unfairly , she constantly brings up that Duncan is cheating on her, but he also states that he did not hook up with Gwen. In the beginning of Total Drama World Tour , Courtney and Duncan are still a couple, while Gwen on the other hand, has indeed fallen in love with him. Because of their constant bickering, Duncan quits the competition. During his absence, the two girls patch up their conflict and end up becoming friends to an extent. However, after Duncan returns and he and Gwen kiss in the confessional, their conflict comes back again in full force once Courtney finds out about the kiss in Greece's Pieces. Courtney, feeling betrayed by Gwen, becomes obsessed with trying to eliminate her, going as far as to throw the challenge for the opposing team, and eventually succeeding in doing so.
