Having said that, not everything is perfect. Here are some of the best mods for Fallout: New Vegas. The New Vegas Anti Crash mod does exactly what it says on the tin: It makes the game more stable on modern and older systems. While we may have addressed the constant crashing with the NVAC, there are still plenty of other bugs that we need to address in New Vegas. MM can be difficult to track down now, given that Nexus Mods has archived its page, and YUP is not only accessible but generally a great deal more efficient. As the name suggests, the Unofficial Patch fixes thousands of bugs, glitches, and errors that may crop up during an average play-through of New Vegas. If you want the smoothest experience possible, I highly recommend making YUP a priority. A collection of tweaks compiled by NexusMods user Yvileapsis, the bundle of upgrades is designed to improve the minute-to-minute gameplay of New Vegas. When it comes to specifics, JAM adds things like a dynamic crosshair to help indicate bullet spread and accuracy and a weapon wheel that grants players the ability to quickly swap between weapons rather than constantly navigating a menu. Small improvements include hit markers that help you figure out if a shot has landed and an option to hold your breath for those tricky snipes. Again, the name gives away what this mod is all about. While New Vegas may have some excellently written characters, the graphics used to bring them to life leaves a great deal to be desired. You can expect to find upgraded textures, improved animations, and remakes of every face in the game. Even tiny details like upgraded hair textures and animated eyelashes go a long way to making everyone look more realistic. Just what Benny would have wanted.
Put that on top of Project Nevada and Realistic Weapon Damages and you've got yourself some pretty hard combat. If you want to use your mouse scroll wheel to cycle through your weapons, FPS Weapon Wheel lets you do that. Which mods do you recommend?
Modding is the lifeblood of most Bethesda titles. The Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises aren't without their problems, but it's thanks to the talented and passionate modding community that these games are still alive. Few modding scenes can match the quality content made for Skyrim and Fallout: New Vegas. Considering the game's age, Fallout: New Vegas still sees massive overhauls and quest mods nearly every year. Some mods greatly improve the game's performance while others add a barrage of new quests. While performance mods are fantastic, the best Fallout: New Vegas mods can make it feel like a brand-new game. The sheer amount of modding support this game still enjoys even now is a great indication of why so many people love Fallout: New Vegas to bits.

The mod creator is aware that too much living flora could be counter to Fallout lore, so the mod comes in three different grades: Fertile Wasteland is the whole lot for a much leafier world, Dead Wasteland is a compromise between living and dead plants, and ESP-less uses just retextured versions of the original withered tree models. The game was a triumph in every way, combining the best of old and new Fallout to make for a tantalizing experience that doesn't really have an equal. Even on higher difficulty levels, the base game is still pretty easy, leading to combat scenarios lacking much in the way of tension or depth.
