CMAJ has had substantial impact on health care and the practice of medicine in Canada and around the world. Its Editor-in-Chief is Dr. Kirsten Patrick and its impact factor is Mission : To champion knowledge that matters for the health of Canadians and the rest of the world. As a general medical journal, CMAJ will continue to publish content on a wide variety of topics. However, our area of focus should guide content and submissions, to contribute to the evidence base, influence clinical practice and raise awareness among policy-makers and the public of these pressing health issues.
