Whether I'm putting generous splashes of oil in my food, or using my collection of facial oils to double-cleanse in my skincare routine, oil really is the secret ingredient I need more in my life. So when I found out that cult brand Clarins launched a new Lip Comfort Oil , I figured I needed it in my hands and on my lips immediately. Image: Supplied. But the thing I really love about them is their commitment to Responsible Beauty. Some brands dabble in environmental ethics, but Clarins really gets it. A dollar from every transaction on the Clarins Australia website goes to your choice of three charitable organisations that take action for the planet and its people. Clarins Lip Comfort Oil incredibly has 93 per cent of its ingredients come from natural origins, including three highly nourishing plant-based oils.

I have both the old formula and the new formula. They also change the packaging. It's round tube now but they keep the soft doe foot applicator which I like. I honestly love the new formula more, Shoot, I actually like this lip oil. It doesn't have much of a pigment, it's a concentrated lip gloss that goes a long way in use you don't need to apply too much. I will look for cheaper Love this lip oil On the bottle, the colour is scarily red, but it isn't pigmented and imparts a soft redness The colour I have is Candy. I was expecting this, judging by the
Overall, the scents are very pleasant. Thumbs up for the formula.
I contemplated on whether I should write about it or not, back and forth. It came in two version: 01 Honey and 02 Raspberry an online exclusive. The collection launched in February and the news traveled that this particular product sells out almost immediately. The whole thing feels very compact, easy to carry around and sure looks demure on any vanity table. Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil is billed to have a makeup-skincare function with a fusion formula of active plant-based ingredients that nourishes and soothes the lips.

Tinted lip oils are arguably the preferred lacquer for lips right now. With the new formula boasting 93 per cent of its ingredients from a natural origin, expect deep hydration alongside instant shine with a blend of organic Jojoba, Hazelnut and Sweetbriar Rose Oil — the latter of which also helps to reinforce skin barrier function and protect the lips from environmental aggressors. I recently tried the new Lip Comfort Oil formula for myself, and was extremely impressed. As a tinted lip oil lover, I was excited to discover that the new care-led formula felt like the lovechild of a lip treatment and a gloss — but without that heavy, sticky feeling we all despise. There are eight shades in total, which range from a sheer gloss to a moody chocolate hue. My immediate favourite was Pitaya, a pretty magenta colour that — alongside the Cherry, Apricot, Strawberry and Plum shades — contains an intuitive pigment that adjusts its hue according to the natural pH of your lips. You can also wear the clear shade, Honey, as an intensive overnight treatment, which Clarins tested to reveal that 85 per cent of women who tried it found their lips were better nourished upon waking.

I really liked Honey because it gives instant relief to dry lips. It is slightly angled and picks up a good amount of oil for thorough application. They are emollient and have an oil feel but they do not slide around and stay put once applied. Upon application, the oil glided onto my lips with ease, thanks to its smooth texture. I wore the oil throughout the day and noticed that it began to dry after approximately an hour and a half after each reapplication I ate and drank with it on. Plus, it is not particularly moisturizing or emollient like an oil should be. One even coat of the Lip Comfort Oil will rectify it right away. I no longer wake up with chapped lips or have to ponder on which lippy to wear with my daily 'no-make up' make up look, now I can just reach for either of my Clarins Lip Oils and the one I choose depends on the scent I feel like rocking that day.
The Clarins diamond box - summer edition included a kit with the Clarins lip comfort oil in the shades 01 - honey and 03 - red berry in mini sizes of 2.
The color is very sheer, almost transparent on my lips. Have the raspberry one. A stunning gloss with a smooth, non-sticky texture is right up my alley. The scent of Red Berry seemed to linger a bit longer. It came in two version: 01 Honey and 02 Raspberry an online exclusive. If you look closely you may be able to tell that Red Berry has more of a red tint than the others. This extract helps reinforce the barrier function so lips are protected from external aggressions. Raspberry is the more wearable option scent-wise for me. However, I think this product would be better as a Use limited data to select content. Read that raspberry oil apparently has an amazingly high SPF, to top off all the amazing qualities reviewers mention.
