Even Goku has to see thingf and feel and smell, Goku hasn't trained himself to stop these senses to get out of Genjutsu like Naruto and the shinobi ninjas did. Genjutsu doesn't have almost none or very little effect on Chakra, in other words, chakra and Ki plays a very little role in Genjutsu. I don't care if you're Goku or Superman, you have the 5 senses and any of your 5 senses are vulnerable to Genjutsu. Ki or Chakra isn't the main point in Genjutsu, the senses are. You know Itachi is extremely slick with his genjutsu, same with madara. Itachi puts people in genjutsus and they don't even know it until they're already fully in a genjutsu. Like I said, Goku's physical ability trumps Itachi in every way Plus we all know Goku's character, he's the type of guy to let his opponent get fully prepared for their battle
