It appears that there is quite a lot of renovating going on and I would like to clarify that power, water, bunnings cable conduit, gas etc services have different colours to identify them. This project was to install some garden lights to be able to see the perimeter of the garden at night. Part of the post covers what I did to run the low voltage cabling across a path and hide away all of the cabling as best I can. First off be aware this is only approriate for low voltage cabling , do not bury regular power extension cords. To ensure we dont ever sever the cable during gardenining we opted to run the cable along the fence and secured it using these cable clips. Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community ettman8. I know a lot of people like hiding their cabling behind the wall, but we just use a white cable tidy, which is unobtrusive. Just one white one to match the white wall blends in. You really shouldn't need to be an electrician to run some conduit through the wall that you can put your cables through. Do you have a nearby power point and antenna connection JenniferB? If you've never pulled wire through conduit, it may seem a bit troubling. How in the world can you get the wire to push through the conduit , especially when the conduit run may be hundreds of feet long? And, of course, it won't just crawl through the pipe itself.
