There are many tracks to choose from, with the difficulty of each determined by factors including but not limited to the number of Bloon entrances, number of paths and the length of these paths. Most tracks did not have a specific name until Bloons TD 4. As of October , there are more than maps throughout the pre-BTD6 game series, and 73 maps as of Version Maps generally consist of land for towers to be placed on and at least one path also referred to as a "track" or "lane" for the Bloons to follow.

Bloons Tower Defence has prided itself on being a franchise that goes bigger each and every time, and Bloons TD 6 is a game with a massive amount of playtime that can be sunk in. This is not only due to the large number of modes that players can try out, but also due to the large variety of maps available in the game. Ninja Kiwi is still adding new maps regularly at different levels of difficulty, and while not every map is a winner, there are some completely unique and great maps that change the course of the gameplay entirely. While there are a lot of levels based on various ideas and properties, the Willy Wonka-inspired level is surely the best homage in all of Bloons TD 6. Candy Falls is set on a pink track over a chocolate river which allows for plenty of buccaneers and monkey subs without taking up all the farming space potential. There are also Easter Eggs on this map, players can click in certain locations and find monkeys dressed as Oompa Loompas who pop their heads out. Candy Falls is a long and winding beginner map, easy to help new players get the hang of different potential strategies because it offers some turns where tack shooters are perfect, other twists that are great for boomerangs or ninjas, and has enough overlapping areas that wide-ranging monkeys are highly useful as well. One of the higher-level maps which is much beloved by players is the Underground. A complex map that offers a unique challenge with two overlapping rail tracks that players can attempt to navigate in a variety of ways. Underground may not have any water available as submarines would be just too perfect for it, but there are overlaps between the two short sides of the track that can be taken advantage of. Whether players choose to use specific targeting measures on certain towers or go for AOE damage in the form of tack shooters, there are ways to deal with Underground, and players will feel highly rewarded for managing it. The biggest positive is that there is still plenty of farming space around the sides, so if players can get a farm strategy started in the difficult early rounds they will be off to the races whatever the game mode.
Sandy Spiral. Please see the discussion page on uploading track pictures, btd6 maps. The upside is massive XP rewards but you don't gain Monkey Money from beating one.
