A new full length DNA Loft midsole softens the feel slightly but continues to provide a well cushioned but slightly responsive ride. The new upper is less complicated and lighter, providing a more secure rearfoot hold and a slightly more performance fit. Best for daily miles, long runs and a little uptempo work for those who need a dependable moderate stability trainer, the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22 continues as a staple stability shoe with newer methods of stability. The fit is fairly normal throughout with a slight taper in the forefoot that opens up after a few miles. The upper is a simple engineered mesh in the midfoot and forefoot that breathes fairly well.

Great show except that Brooks obviously chose to use subpar materials in making these. Loved the 19s and 20s but the Adrenaline GTS 22 is hot garbage. Quality has dropped dramatically. After 4 months of of low impact wear no running at all! The fabric has worn through and there are multiple holes around the top edge of the heel simply from putting on the shoes I assume. Additionally the bottom of one shoe has multiple loose rubber pads and a small chunk of rubber missing from another spot. The quality is abhorrent and a slap in the face to loyal customers who have come to trust the Brooks name. It's wild that I have a pair of Adrenaline GTS 20s more than a year old and a pair of Ghost 12s prob close to 2 years old , both of which I put significantly more use and abuse into than these garbage 22s, and neither has a single hole or loose pieces, despite being past their prime s. I fully intend to pursue a refund or exchange from Brooks.
Overall the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22 has a high drop with a slightly softer heel and slightly more responsive forefoot with a solid transition for daily miles, recovery runs and some uptempo miles. This design is traditional and doesn't have many of today's trends such as heel rocker and thick compressive foam, brooks adrenaline gts 22 review, but if you are looking for a stable platform for everyday use, this is the model for you.

In its 22nd version, the Brooks Adrenaline remains one of the best shoes on the market for runners who overpronate. The Adrenaline continues to provide subtle yet trustworthy stability with the help of Brooks' signature GuideRail support system, which acts like bumpers at a bowling alley to keep all excess movement in check. It also has a new streamlined upper which is both supportive and stylish. Simply put, the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22 is one of those shoes you just can't go wrong with, regardless of your preferences. If you are an overpronator heading into a shoe store, it is very likely that the Adrenaline will be a top recommendation by the sales associate — for good reason too! The Adrenaline stands out from the competition as one of the lightest models available in the maximum-stability category, and with the new extended DNA Loft foam midsole, it is now softer than any previous version of the shoe. That said, our testers found themselves wanting more in terms of protection and would recommend a different shoe for runs longer than 6 miles.

The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22 is our go-to for those looking for a shoe that is stable and supportive. With GuideRail technology that adds firm, supportive rails along the sides of the shoe, you will feel planted and surefooted each time your foot hits the ground. Plenty of stability through the heel allows for your ankles, knees, and hips to all feel stable offering you confidence throughout your run. Combined with durable upper materials and outsole rubber, this feels like one of the most durable and well-built shoes in our lineup. Of course, these materials increase the weight, also making this one of the heavier shoes in our lineup, but we are still impressed with the ability to keep this shoe around 10 ounces. This design is traditional and doesn't have many of today's trends such as heel rocker and thick compressive foam, but if you are looking for a stable platform for everyday use, this is the model for you. Cushioning has seen some of the biggest advances in running technology in recent years. Many shoes today have thick, springy foam in the midsoles. Shoes that used to be considered high cushioning are now considered stiff by some users. The Adrenaline 22 has a more traditional cushioning platform that will feel familiar to people who have been running for a while.

Comfort 5 Rated 5 stars out of 5. This was a huge change for the Brooks Adrenaline GTS several years ago and I applaud Brooks for continuing with this despite it being so different from traditional methods. These are great daily wear athletic shoes but transition to the gym with ease The forefoot continues to be more responsive, while a new and more streamlined upper provides room in the heel and midfoot and a slightly snugger fit up front.
